Every set of our Remy Hair
extensions comes carefully displayed in a velvet bag designed specifically to
protect your new purchase during shipping. We’re so sure of the quality of your
new Remy Hair that our RC Pure, RC Proline and RC HeavenlyLengths lines all
come with a 12-month product warranty! We take the utmost care when it comes to
preserving the quality and structure of your real hair extensions prior to shipping them to
your home, and we know that once they are in your hands, you’ll surely want to
do the same in order to extend the lifespan of your stunning Remy hair. So, we’ve
put together a basic guide to the care and keeping of your extensions in order
for you to maintain their excellent condition for as long as possible.
Should you ever have
questions about whether or not a specific product or styling tool is likely to
cause damage to the quality or strength of your Remy hair, we encourage you to
contact us for advice.
Hair Products
Just as you would treat
your natural hair, we recommend using high-end hair products like Redkin and
Matrix to care for your Remy extensions. You can shampoo, condition, mousse,
gel and hairspray your Remy hair just as you would your own, but we do not recommend
the use of products that contain silicone, if possible. Silicone-based products
can eventually cause breakage or buildup, and non-soluble silicone products
that use sulfates can negatively affect the ability of your Remy hair to retain
moisture.
Styling and Coloring
Because our PC PURE extensions
are real, high-quality Indian hair, they can be colored and styled exactly as
real hair normally is. Because it has not been processed in any way prior to
arriving at your home, the RC PURE line can withstand multiple colorings
throughout its lifespan. Our ProLine extensions come pre-colored for your
convenience, should you already have a color in mind.
When it comes to styling,
you should treat your Remy extensions with the same delicate care you would
your natural hair. Improperly using tools like flat irons, which expose hair to
too much direct heat and damages the keratin, will shorten the lifespan of your
Remy extensions, just as it would “fry” natural hair. Blow-drying your hair on
very high heat and without a diffuser is also not recommended.
Daily Maintenance and Longevity
In general, a rule of
thumb for the overall care and maintenance of your Remy hair is to treat it as
respectfully as you would your own! You can go swimming with your RC PURE hair
extensions, whether in pools, hot tubs or the ocean, although you should wash
your hair immediately after a swim (again, as you would natural hair) and never
expose braided hair to salt water. The RC Proline should be treated carefully,
just like any dyed or processed hair would be, which includes limiting exposure
to chlorine. Gently squeeze-dry your Remy hair with a microfiber towel after
washing, avoiding any rubbing motion. Be sure to carefully comb Remy hair in
order to avoid tangling and shedding.
Should you follow the
above advice, your RC PURE extensions will last anywhere from 6-12 months,
while you can expect your RC Proline Remy hair to last as long as two months,
and sometimes more.
